WordPress Plugin: Inline Attachments

I very often use WordPress as a CMS for clients like artists or photographers, who want to present a big amount of media files on their websites. Most of the time, the media files actually are the very center of these websites.

To reflect this focus on media files in the admin area, I developed the plugin “Inline Attachments”. It adds a Meta Box to the post edit screen, that holds the media-uploads panel inside an iframe. If no Media Files are attached to a post yet, it shows the upload tab, otherwise it shows the list of attached media files.

NonverBlaster:hover – Free and OpenSource Flash Video Player for the Web

The NonverBlaster:hover is a mod of my Flash-based (and not maintained anymore) video player “NonverBlaster”. It was developed for the IT-news portal golem.de. Good on them, they allowed me to provide a stripped down version of it for download on my blog (which is where you are right now). This was in 2008. Since then, the free version evolved independently, supporting new features like audio, youtube videos and javascript playlists. You can download a .zip file with the source and some examples here. If you want to get an idea about what’s possible with the player, you should check out the NonverBlaster:hover Demo Pages.

NewWebPick features Basics09

Nomen est omen: In erster Linie dienen Laubbläser und Laubsauger dem Zusammenblasen oder sogar Aufnehmen von Laub.

Aber eben nur in erster Linie, denn mit den heute äußerst leistungsfähigen Maschinen lassen sich auch viele andere Gegenstände, die sich im Garten, auf Wegen, Plätzen und Strassen, in Häusern, Küchen, Schlafzimmern, bei Jung und Alt finden, viel leichter und günstiger entfernen als mit dem alten Besen. Kein Wunder also, dass sich Laubbläser und Laubsauger fast überall im Einsatz befinden.
